Bruno Orth started his career at Deutsche Bundespost in 1985. Later at Deutsche Telekom AG he was responsible for various technology topics. He was in charge of different strategic and technical concepts for access networks such as FTTH and XDSL, before retiring as a Senior Vice President in late 2016. As a member of International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T) Study Groups 13 & 15 and as Chairman of the Technical Committee 3 of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute he was involved in various activities to ensure industry wide standards for access and transmission architectures. At the turn of the year 2016/2017 Bruno retired from Deutsche Telekom, founded an independent consulting company and since then has been managing director of this company.
