Technical Project Engineer

Reporting to the Manager of Deployment Engineering, this position provides technical expertise and support during the installation, deployment, and maintenance phases of ASSIA's award-winning software products. 
 
The Technical Project Engineer is primarily involved in the analysis and implementation of technical system requirements and ensuring that project technical needs have been met.  
 
Working closely with internal Systems Engineering and Development teams, as well as externally focused members of the Technical Sales team, this position works to ensure that ASSIA's solution is fully functioning according to specifications within customer’s environment. The Technical Project Engineer may also provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
10% international travel can be expected.

QUALIFICATIONS
 
Education:

  • Bachelors  in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Masters in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

Experience:

  • 2-4 years' experience in similar roles in Telecom/tech companies and/or service providers.
  • Experience with Linux as well as programming in scripting languages like Perl or Python is desirable
  • Knowledge of database models and their use through SQL
  • Knowledge of network or telecom management systems and devices, specifically as as they pertain to xDSL, fiber and WiFi related systems
  • Familiarity with object oriented software languages

  • Strong organizational skills

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team in our corporate headquarters located in Redwood City, CA. The Financial Analyst will report directly to our Corporate Controller and will analyze financial status by collecting, monitoring, and studying data; providing analyses to support the company's accounting and operations. 

 Job Duties:

  • Prepares company's annual operation plan (AOP)
  • Creates financial forecasts, reports, and operational tracking metrics
  • Supports accounting by providing analyses and participating in the monthly close process
  • Supports management decision making by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses
  • Determines cost of operations by collecting operational data and establishing expected costs
  • Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data
  • Maintains databases by entering, verifying, and backing up data
  • Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements
  • Performs duties with appropriate confidentiality
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related work as needed; works closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics and equivalent work experience
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency
  • Strong fluency in Excel including advanced formulas and functions
  • Strong financial modeling experience
  • Excellent communications skills-experience working with, and presenting to, senior executives
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
