Reporting to the Manager of Deployment Engineering, this position provides technical expertise and support during the installation, deployment, and maintenance phases of ASSIA's award-winning software products. 
 
The Technical Project Engineer is primarily involved in the analysis and implementation of technical system requirements and ensuring that project technical needs have been met.  
 
Working closely with internal Systems Engineering Development teams, as well as externally focused members of the Technical Sales team, this position works to ensure that ASSIA's solution is fully functioning according to specifications within customer’s environment.  The Technical Project Engineer may also provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
10% international travel can be expected.

QUALIFICATIONS
 
Education:
  • Bachelors  in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Masters in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Experience:
  • Entry level (1-3 years experience)
  • Experience with Linux (as a user) as well as programming in scripting languages like Perl or Python is desirable
  • Knowledge of database models and their use through SQL
  • Knowledge of network or telecom management systems and devices, specifically as as they pertain to xDSL, fiber and WiFi related systems

Embedded Software Engineer

We are looking for an embedded software engineer to play an influential role in the development of our Wi-Fi product to help consumers stay connected.

The embedded software engineer will be responsible for the client side development of a novel Cloud computing solution to improve the Internet experience. The candidate will primarily use C to develop data collections and local algorithms in customer premise equipment (CPE) running Linux that will enable server diagnostics and optimizations. The candidate will work closely with other embedded/systems/QA engineers and occasionally with CPE vendors in order to evolve the CPE base supported. The right candidate will be an enthusiastic, hands-on developer, and will also be experienced with the entire software engineering life cycle from requirement analysis, architecture, design, implementation, code review, quality assurance to deployment.


Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree with at least five years’ experience

ASSIA is looking for a software developer intern interested to work on the latest Web technologies. The intern will be on the Cloudcheck team to help in building a rich and engaging web application consisting of a single page application built on Angular JS and/or business intelligence dashboards to help analyze large data sets. The intern would have a strong emphasis on visual design and user experience with simple, modern and responsive design skills. The ideal intern would have some existing examples of work that can be demonstrated.

 

Requirements:

Experience/Schooling
